Detail:
In October 2018 – VPI managed the single largest fulfilment exercise in our history. In just over 30 days our team of experienced retail logistics experts received over 16,000 empty retail displays, and over 5 million pairs of reading glasses and sunglasses. Over 250 staff manually filled displays for over 4,100 stores nationwide to an exact specification, then packaged every display for transit. The project required over 420 truck movements and during its peak required over 200,000 square feet of warehouse space. The client observed that a hugely complex process was made to look and feel relatively simple by the use of our systems and extensive experience.
We delivered this record-breaking fulfilment exercise with 0% loss or error using our in-house stock management, barcoding and EDI systems.
